The position of Assessor is appointed by the Supervisor and approved by the Board of Trustees.
The Township Assessor is responsible for the fair and equitable valuation of all real and personal property within Amber Township in accordance with the General Property Tax Act and all other applicable state laws and regulations. The Assessor ensures that property assessments are accurate and manages various property-related processes such as parcel divisions and exemption programs.
The position of Assessor is appointed by the Board of Trustees.
